SANDF MILITARY GENERAL WORKER ROLES, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: 

• Applicants can apply with ABET level 4 or NQF levels 1–3 with no experience.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Be able to rotate when required. Honest and reliable.
• Must have the physical strength to cope with the physical demands of the position.
• Be able to work as a team.

DUTIES:

• Perform general assistant work: Load and offload furniture, equipment, and any other goods to the relevant destinations. Clean government vehicles. Clean relevant workstations. Provide effective office and property care support services Control access to office accommodations. Safeguard all master and spare keys belonging to the building. Oversee and prepare boardrooms and lecture theaters for meetings and gatherings.
• Perform stocktaking of areas. Provide routine general work, compliance, and maintenance services: Open windows every day for hygiene and infection control purposes. Damp and dry dusting Empty the dustbins in all the designated areas. Remove office items and furniture from one area to another for effective cleaning Report safety and hazardous threats in the cleaning environment. Clean and take proper care of cleaning equipment. Store and safeguard cleaning materials and Equipment. Report electrical or mechanical malfunctions of cleaning machines and other related equipment. Requisition and replenish cleaning material as and when required. Remove and store waste in the designated areas.

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SANDF MILITARY GENERAL WORKER RECRUITMENT

• Applicants will be subjected to a vetting process that will include security screening, reference checking, and fingerprint verification.
• Applicants who previously served in a Government Department and were dismissed as a result of misconduct are excluded.
• In view of the physical demands of the Basic Police Development Learning Programme, applicants with chronic diseases, physical impairments, or any other health condition that may lead to interruption of the training program will be excluded from participation in the program. Such applicants’ failure to disclose the conditions will result in their withdrawal from the program upon determination thereof.
• If an applicant is shortlisted, it can be expected of him or her to undergo a personal interview.
