The Industrial/Organisational Psychology Internship program is not only an internship but a launchpad for a successful career in the realm of Human Capital management.

As an intern, you’ll be part of Sanlam’s Human Capital department, contributing to the work performed and simultaneously fulfilling the requirements of your registered I/O internship. You will be working in all aspects of Human Capital management in a leading financial services company, thereby gaining comprehensive professional experience.
Your tasks will include managing medium to large projects throughout the full project life cycle, handling operational and administrative matters related to the projects, and liaising with external stakeholders. This holistic exposure will equip you with the skills and competencies needed for a successful career in Industrial/Organisational Psychology.
Eligibility
Applicants interested in the internship must meet the following criteria:
- Must have fully completed Industrial/Organisational Psychology Master’s coursework and dissertation by December 2023.
- Should be currently registered with the HPCSA as a Student Psychologist.
- Previous full and/or part-time work experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word and PowerPoint is essential.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal skills.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- A driver’s license is advantageous but not a requirement.
Successful candidates will be those who can build and maintain relationships, communicate effectively, are organized and deadline-oriented, and are innovative in their approach to problem-solving.
