We are pleased to announce that the application for the 2024 UNISA Higher Health Peer Educators Programme is now open.
The Dean of Students, in collaboration with Higher Health, invites applications for the Student Peer Educators Programme. This initiative is a volunteer training programme aimed at servicing and promoting the health and wellbeing of university students. By implementing interactive health and wellness activities and advocating for human rights, the programme seeks to make a significant impact on campus.
UNISA Higher Health Peer Educators Programme Eligibility
To be eligible for the Higher Health Peer Educators Programme, applicants must:
- Be a Unisa-registered student in 2024.
- Have a passion for volunteerism, health, and wellness.
- Be committed to addressing social issues that affect students and/or the community.
- Possess their own device and have access to the internet for training sessions and communication during the programme.

Interested students who meet the requirements can participate in this transformative programme. Training will be conducted strictly online via MSTeams, allowing students from all Unisa regions to participate. To apply, students should prepare to demonstrate their dedication to volunteerism and their capacity to impact health and wellness among their peers.
Application Date
The closing date for applications is March 15, 2024.
Upon completing the training, participants will be awarded a certificate of participation from Higher Health, affirming their commitment to community service and personal development in the realm of student health and wellness.
