This rotation facilitates the acquisition of diverse competencies essential for SAICA certification. SAICA Trainee Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this program, candidates must:
- Have a completed B.Com degree or be in the process of completing a relevant B.Com degree.
- Be working towards qualifying as a CA(SA).
- Have proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
A post-graduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA), either completed or in progress, is highly recommended.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a SAICA trainee, you will undertake various responsibilities:
- Process documentation and control identification.
- Business and system analysis.
- Making control improvement recommendations to management.
- Performing accounting and cost accounting functions, including capturing transactions, account reconciliation, tax calculations, and drafting financial statements.
- Data Analytic Auditing.
- Rotating to different VKB departments to acquire necessary SAICA competencies.

SAICA Trainee Application Procedure
To apply for the SAICA Trainee Program, candidates must follow these steps:
- Access the VKB career portal using Google Chrome.
- Submit a clear CV in PDF or Word format without any handwritten notes on the document. The CV should only be uploaded in the ‘Upload CV’ section of the application form.
- Do not include other documents such as ID or Driver’s License in the CV PDF. The application form provides a section for uploading supporting documents.
- Ensure that the profile picture uploaded is at least 300 x 300px.
