Afrimat Metallurgical/Process Engineer Graduate Training Eligibility
Educational and Professional Criteria:
- Academic Qualification: BEng/BSc Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Driving: Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Transportation: Ownership of a vehicle is preferred but not mandatory.
- Health: Medical fitness as per the Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Location: Residing in Cape Town or Centurion.
- Travel: Willingness to commute to Afrimat Mines.
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Learning Agility: Aptitude to grasp new concepts swiftly.
- Independence & Team Collaboration: Ability to function both individually and in team settings.

Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Afrimat.
- Plan and oversee test work for enhancement projects at Afrimat mines.
- Develop precise block and process flow diagrams and mass balances that detail metallurgical processes. This includes mineral processing, physical beneficiation, hydrometallurgy, and pyrometallurgy.
- Manage metallurgical or process-related projects.
- Participate in on-site meetings to grasp system requirements.
- Provide post-implementation assistance to projects and operational staff.
