The National Department of Health is opening opportunities for its Graduate Internship Programme 2024-2026, designed to enhance the employability of unemployed graduates who are interested in a Public Service career.
This internship presents a stepping stone for young graduates to gain vital work experience in the Public Service sector. The Department of Health encourages all eligible graduates to seize this opportunity to develop their skills and contribute to the health sector.
DPSA Department of Health Graduate Internship Eligibility
Applicants must be within the age range of 18-35 years and should be unemployed graduates who seek practical work experience. They must not have been exposed to or participated in any other internship programme prior.

Application Procedure
Interested candidates must submit their applications on the new Z83 form, obtainable from any Public Service department, and should be accompanied by a comprehensive CV detailing previous experience. Applications must be submitted either:
- By post to the Director-General at the National Department of Health, Private Bag X399, Pretoria, 0001.
- Hand-delivered at Reception (Brown Application Box) Dr. AB Xuma Building, 1112 Voortrekker Rd, Pretoria Townlands 351-JR.
- Emailed to recruitment@health.gov.za with the reference number quoted on the subject line.
All applications must be in one PDF format if emailed. It is the responsibility of applicants to have any foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
