The application for the SANRAL High School Scholarships for the academic year 2024 is now open by SANRAL for all South Africans in South Africa.
The SANRAL hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the SANRAL High School Scholarships. It is meant for students that intend to or are currently studying towards high school programmes that are aligned to the following listed below:
- High School Programmes
The SANRAL High School Scholarships programme assists by supporting financially deserving students with great academic potential to take their first steps in achieving their dreams and obtaining their high school certificate. The SANRAL High School Scholarships programme aims to fund academically deserving students who do not have the financial means to study full-time towards a high school certificate.

SANRAL HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
- Late applications will not be considered.
- Applicants must be South African citizens.
- The application form must be completed in full, and the information must be accurate and recent.
- SANRAL’s scholarship will be awarded based on academic performance and financial need as determined by SANRAL’s Scholarship Policy’s set requirements.
- The application will be turned down if it does not comply with the stipulations listed.
- SANRAL may use other applicable conditions in making the final decision on granting the scholarship.
NB: INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
LETTERS OF MOTIVATION
- By your parents
- By yourself (2 pages) Tell us about yourself and motivate why you would like to become a SANRAL scholarship holder
- Motivation and support letter from your school.
CERTIFIED COPIES OF:
- Your June results
- Your ID document or birth certificate (must be South African citizen)
- Your parents’ ID documents.
PROOF OF RESIDENCE
- Your parentsor guardians’ water and electricity bills from the local council.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT
- Proof of income / sworn affidavit (if parents are self-employed in the informal sector or they work from home, you must submit an affidavit on the amount that they earn).

How to apply
- Kindly get the application form HERE and email it to Gcina Sentletse (scholarships@nra.co.za) before the deadline to be considered for the bursary.
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS
- Completed applications need to be submitted no later than September 31, 2024.
