The application for the City of Johannesburg (CoJ) Youth Bursary for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open by City of Johannesburg (CoJ) for all South Africans in South Africa.
The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Bursary. It is meant for students that intend to, or are currently studying towards degree and diploma programmes that are aligned to the following listed below:
- Artisan
- Manufacturing
- Computer Systems
- Network and System Administration
- Construction
- Plumbing
- Data Management
- Software Developer
- Electrical
- Sports Management
- Information Technology/Security
- Web Developer
- Machining
- Welding
CITY OF JOHANNESBURG (COJ) YOUTH BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
The CoJ is offering bursaries to South African youth, who permanently reside in Johannesburg, to pursue full-time undergraduate studies in one of the following fields:
- Artisan
- Manufacturing
- Computer Systems
- Network and System Administration
- Construction
- Plumbing
- Data Management
- Software Developer
- Electrical
- Sports Management
- Information Technology/Security
- Web Developer
- Machining
- Welding
Criteria for selection
- Selection of successful candidates will be strictly on academic merit.
- Applicants are expected to study at an accredited South African tertiary institution.
- It is the student’s responsibility to seek admission with a tertiary institution.
- The bursary is for qualifications of no less than one year.
- The bursary is renewable annually, based on academic performance/results.
- The bursary is not applicable for post graduate qualifications

Apply on Apply on www.joburg.org.za, click on vacancies and then application for Bursaries and Learnerships. A completed application form, proof of residence, certified copy of ID and Qualifications and proof of income
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS
- Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 21 November 2022. Late applications will not be considered.
