Distell is offering an Internship opportunity to unemployed and prospective graduates to apply in the fields that are in line with the Corporation’s core business. The Corporation is therefore inviting applications for the Distell HR Graduate Internship Programme that runs for a maximum period of 12 months in the following disciplines/fields of study.

The best student on the course receives an accolade for performing well academically,  and for excelling in all areas of the training. By portraying a positive attitude, this student contributes to enhancing the image of Distell.

The Distell HR Graduate Internship Programme uses a fully integrated approach that combines theory with practical training and leads to a recognized qualification/certification. Distell provides an internship opportunity in the following areas listed below:

DISTELL HR GRADUATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY

Purpose of the position:

  • The intention is to give practical work experience to students who are currently studying and have a prerequisite to have practical work experience before qualification. Successful interns will be expected to enter a 12-month contract commencing 01 February 2022 and terminating on 31 January 2023.

Key Learning Areas include (but are not limited to):

  • General Documentation and Administration
  • Human Resources Planning
  • Recruitment and Selection
  • Salary and Benefit Administration
  • Training and Development
  • Industrial Relations and Labour Law
  • Project Management
  • General administrative assistance

To qualify for selection and participation in this programme, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

  • 3 Years National Diploma/Degree or Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • Computer literacy – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Sound communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective time management.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Driver’s License would be beneficial
  • South African citizen.
  • Successful interns will be expected to enter a 12-month contract.

Prospective interns must submit the following:

  • Covering letter/ Motivational letter,
  • A curriculum vitae,
  • Certified academic record,
  • Certified copy of Grade 12,
  • A letter from the tertiary institution,
  • A format for evaluation, required by the tertiary institution,
  • Certified copies of Identity Document.
  • All applicants to provide a detailed CV, Copy of ID and copies of qualifications / Records
