The Corporation is therefore inviting applications for the Sappi Social Worker Graduate Internship Programme that runs for a maximum period of 12 months in the following disciplines/fields of study.

SAPPI SOCIAL WORKER GRADUATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
Sappi Ngodwana Mill requires a Social Worker Intern to grow and obtain the necessary skill, competencies and experience within the related field and will be required to support the business with different tasks and responsibilities during their contract period.
This role will report to the EWB Practitioner.
The main responsibilities of the job are:
- Provide an employee wellbeing service at the business unit, within a legal, ethical framework, to ensure a healthy, productive workforce.
- Assist with the case management of patients especially regarding understanding and insight into issues. Discuss and review case management with the EWB practitioner.
- Participate in relevant committee structures. e.g. EWB, EWB peer educators.
- Assist with campaigns, programmes etc. on an annual programme based on the needs of the specific operating unit.
- Keeping client records, ensuring confidentiality. Assist with EWB administration.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Grade 12/Matric qualification.
- General Degree in social services
- Counselling Skills (Dependency, Bereavement, HCT, Trauma)
- Current Registration with the Council for Social Service Professionals
- Code B Drivers’ License
