Ampath Technician Microbiology Learnership – 2021

• Purpose of Position: To perform bench work according to set criteria and standards on all benches in the Microbiology
  Laboratory and media department.
• Requirements: Grade 12 with English, Biology (Life Sciences) and Mathematics (Required), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field (Required)
• Required Experience: Knowledge: HPCSA regulations, Knowledge: Meditech system, Knowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA)

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath,
• Perform general tasks order to assist with maintaining best practice within the laboratory,
• Perform receiving and resulting tasks on the Meditech System in order to ensure correct handling, preparing and recording of specimens and results.,
• Process specimens on benches in order to ensure sufficient delivery of results
