Application for the COGTA Apprenticeship in Bricklaying – 2021 Entry is now open for interested applicants by the Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) in South Africa.

The Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), in partnership with Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA), invites unemployed applications for Apprenticeship in bricklaying opportunity for Nkomazi Municipality within the next 36 months.

The 36 month programme will offer a theoretical element aligned to a Learnership programme and practical on-site work experience to improve the skills and workplace performance of entry-level learners. It provides foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, computer and basic business principles. 

The learnership uses a fully integrated approach that combines theory with practical training and leads to a recognized qualification/certification.

COGTA APPRENTICESHIP/LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • Certified copy of Matric Certificate (Certification stamp must not be older than 6 months)
  • Certified copy of South African ID (Certification stamp must not be older than 6 months)
  • Recent Municipal proof of residential address (Nkomazi Municipality)
  • CV (Provide two cell phone numbers)
  • Medical certificate

Application must meet ALL the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen and be between 18 and 35 years of age,
  • Must be willing to enter into a 36-month uninterrupted contract,
  • Must be a resident of Nkomazi Municipality

COGTA APPRENTICESHIP/LEARNERSHIP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Medium of instruction during training will strictly be in English. Successful learners will receive a monthly stipend. Space is limited.
Applications must be submitted on form (Z83) obtainable from any Public Service Department or at www.dpsa.gov.za.
