The Small Enterprise Foundation offer an Internship opportunity to unemployed graduates to apply in the fields that are in line with the Corporation’s core business. It is a microfinance NGO, with over 220 000 clients, which alleviates poverty by enabling self-employment through micro-enterprise. The Corporation is therefore inviting applications for the Small Enterprise Foundation Trainee HR Assistant Internship Programme that runs for a maximum period of 12 months in the following disciplines/fields of study.

The Small Enterprise Foundation Trainee HR Assistant Internship Programme uses a fully integrated approach that combines theory with practical training and leads to a recognized qualification/certification. Small Enterprise Foundation provides an internship opportunity in the following areas listed below: 

  • HR Assistant

This internship opportunity is situated at the following locations in South Africa:

  •  Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Northern Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal and Eastern Cape.

SMALL ENTERPRISE FOUNDATION HR ASSISTANT INTERNSHIP ROLES, APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Compile and/or complete engagement and termination documentation for all employees
  • Maintaining of employee records i.e. accurate and timeous filing of salary inputs, training, and other related documents
  • Handling staff queries on remuneration and benefits
  • Administration of study and personal loans
  • Maintaining of employee records i.e. accurate and timeous filing of salary Inputs, training, and other related documents
  • Monthly HR reports: headcount, staff movement, disciplinary actions, Staff Turnover, Head Count Reconciliation, KGA Life payment
  • Update employee files with relevant employee information on monthly basis
  • Prepare information (groups and arrears) for DF and BM monthly and quarterly incentives
  • Assist in the organising of staff functions (annual functions, workshops etc.) and prepare Certificates for Long Services
  • Perform any ad-hoc tasks as and when required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in HR Management or equivalent
  • 1 – 2 Years’ experience in an Office Administrator
  • Good in MS Microsoft package
  • Basic Knowledge of VIP Payroll system

Skills/Attributes:

  • Good communication skills
  • Interpersonal relations
  • Tenacity, patience and passion for working with people.
  • Detail orientated and figure accuracy is important attributes
  • Willingness to learn
